2005 Blaster Oil coming out of crankcase vent tube, gas leaking from carb
I'm having some trouble with my 2005 Blaster, and I was wondering if any of you gurus could help me..
Last week I noticed gas leaking from the tube coming out of the bottom of the carb. It runs great, but if you shut off the engine, you have to immediately turn off the fuel petcock or it will leak fuel everywhere. It does drip fuel while it is running. I was guessing the float may need adjustment. Yesterday, I noticed a bunch of oil on the front of the engine, and it appears to be coming from the crankcase ventilation line. I was thinking that the rings are shot causing excessive blow by, or maybe fuel leaking into the crankcase? Anybody else experience these problems? Thanks.

Remember, on a 2 stroke the crankcase and transmission do not share oil.. so blow by from the piston would not cause motor oil to come out of your crankcase vent. Are you sure the oil isn't leaking from your exhaust header due to the carb dumping so much fuel into the motor?

I'll double check on the oil leak soon, but it really looked like it was coming out of that vent tube and blowing back on the engine. It scared the crap out of me when I first saw it, I was sure there would be a hole somewhere.. It runs great otherwise.
