Grizzley manuals are available through the Yamaha website. I'm still running stock tires. Just had oil changed back to 10-40 for warm weather. Spark plug looked good with adjustment.

My dealer is listing the following items which will help with and even cure the cold start issue.
Replace with cold weather oil
Adjust FI mixture richer
Check throttle position sensor, some are not adjusted correctly. This will tell computer that throttle is NOT at idle when it is idle, or tells computer that your throttle during accel isn't open yet or isn't open enough. This effects mixture etc.

I love the Grizz. Anyone with good info on Gas boil problem let us know. Yamaha has a problem even with the new grizz. My Grizz did boil the gas.
Here are step by step instructions to program your stock Grizzly 700.

1. With the key in the off position, Hold "Select" & "Reset" and while holding them down turn the key on. The "d IAG" screen will pop up in 5-10 seconds.
2. Press the Select button to get it to the "Co" screen.
3. Hold "Select" & "Reset" again to get the "C1" screen to pop up.
4. Press "Select" & "Reset" again.
5. Press "Select" to raise the number and press "Reset" to lower the number.
6. Turn the key off to reset to the new settings.
7. Restart Quad
This is the way you program the FI setting. Factory is "0" My Grizz runs great at "0" but I did move it to +10 just to try it out. Note you can also go to a Negative setting if you want.
To Read PRMs Do steps 1 and 2. Stop at that point and turn your kill switch to run and start the motor. Your display will read RPMs. Take the number X10 and you have it. Reading 160 will be 1600 RPM. 155 will be 1550 RPM and so on. To reset your display just turn off the key and your back to normal. NOTE: DO read step 1. Key off hold the Select and reset down and give it some time. Display will change and then step 2 hold select and reset again. Start the Motor. Warm it up first. Then do steps to set RPM. Display does not read above 1900 RPM. With the motor up to temp I set my reading at 1600 or 160 on the display. This let it move around in the 1550 to 1650 area. Runs great.

Thanks for the RPM information, great info. Now we can adjust our own idle speed!

Thanks for all this info guys! I went over to atvscene and read all 11 pages. Great info also. Todays question from me is about tires and wheels. At my local dealer their trying to get me to put on a set of ITP type 7 14" wheels and 27" XTR. IT's a good looking set up but do you guys think it's too much for the drive train? They say no and go for it. I had 26" dirtdevils on my kodiak and it did loose some top speed and handled different? What are your thoughts on this. I did change my oil and filter last night with no problems. I always change it way sooner than 10 hours. It has 3 hours and I did see the usualy metal shaving inside the filter, thats one reason I changed it so soon. Thanks again for the Info!

CB, Read the part about RPMs on the last post I did. Adjustment is on top at your air filter. Right side of air filter. Make small moves and give it a minute or so. Display will read 160 for 1600. Display X 10 = RPM.

Guys, I set mine a 60 last night and what a differance it made. I punched it in the yard and it nearly stood straight up and over. I about craped my pants. Who needs a sport quad to get your blood pumping!. This is a adrenal pumping machine!

Mine is still at 15 might try to set up higher once I've had a chance to run it a while and see how the new oil 10-40 works out. I'm already hanging on when you nail it off the line, it doesn't stand up but sure want's to lift the RH front tire. This is in low range.
