Grizzly 700 has cold start issues
Cold start issues,
I live in Colorado and ride often in higher altitudes. I started out with cold start issues when I purchased my '07 Grizzly 700. The thing that I found to work effectively is to change the oil to a lower viscosity. I put 5W 30 in my machine and this had taken care of my starting problems. This last week we were hunting at 8000 ft. and temp. at 6 degrees F, and my atv started right up, everytime. The lower viscosity of oil the easier the engine will turn over. If you look in your manual that hopefully came with your machine, it will show this viscosity of oil for lower temps. I hope this helps, I have had to help friends about same problem with there machines.

less air, it should still send the correct fuel mix. i love driving through the mountains..i get great gas mileage..lol..
it may not be a fuel issue though..your battery voltage drops in the cold..most ignition systems need at least 11 volts to operate..the starter will go but it will drop the voltage
