Hey guys, what about that modified Raptor/DS comparison in the latest DW mag?
It was the decisive winner in every way. Looks like this machine just continues to impress...never lost a shootout yet! Can't wait to go with different a-arms and shocks on mine. We all can be proud we own this machine. Lot of money, but it was worth it!

 

Don't forget, they also dumped twice as much money into the Raptor mods as they did the DS mods. There's always a catch, isn't there.

 

woh woh wait a minuit. Someone inform me about this "shootout" And tell me what was done to both machines. Why dont we let somone ride the ds that knows how and then have a shootout. Instead of putting some rider that dont know what he's doing on a TOTALLY differnt machine. (even if the rider is pro, you cant jump on the ds and ride it to its full potential.

 

More Dirtwheels BS.There no comparing the stock raptor to a stock DS ,the DS wins hands DOWN!
In order to call it "modified" the put a few things on DS.But The raptor mods include a completely new suspension & whopping three thousand dollars more in mods.Not a exactly a good comparison,but more Dirtwheels BS.If raptor was the real champ WHY does it need so much more mods?

 

That is crap. They throw a new exhaust system on the DS, then dump thousands into the Raptor, $2800 on shocks, a-arms, and axle alone, then say the Raptor allows for more aggressive riding. They did say, however, that both were the same in power and speed.

Give me a break! The ds only had an exaust and the raptor had aarms, axle and suspension! Good lord! That doesnt sound one sided does it! Now give the ds something that it needs..Give it a rev limiter remover, maybe a piston or filter. Then you will see that the ds has more power and the suepsnion on the ds cant be much worse then aftermarket TOP QUALITY supesnion that they put on the raptor. If they dotn like the way the ds handles, then stay off the damn thing. Let somone ride it that likes the way it feels and handles. I'v said it before and i'll say it again.....I'll belive how AWESOME this raptor is when i see one, race one, and he beats me.
