Having the 22's on the rear has the affect of higher gearing, so with those you are already geared higher than stock, so a 13 should still be good without the gearing being too low.

well, 22" will increase gearing and will grow even taller like all tires under acceleration and speed. 22" rears used to be standard issue on the warrior and they never changed the sprockets to compensate for it either way or when they put 20" on the rear. the only things they have done, effective 1989-90: yamaha moved the engine back in the frame a little to ease up on the heavy front weight bias (though it marginally had an impact), moved the lights up and changed them to be round, revalved the shocks, changed something in the carb to NOT let the gas 'boil' - a problem on earlier warriors, though i could never tell this improvement worked, dropped the backup recoil starter... and wheel changes, color combos through the years. oh yeah and handlebars, levers, heel protectors, rear tail light...
if you are on a tight budget, a warrior can be made better with some 'bolt ons' cam, carb, pipe, air filter, jetting, etc will make a noticable increase. i would def dump that POS carb that comes on it stock. minor head work, valves, piston if you want to dig deeper. IMO, only so much you can do with its 2valve motor. sure, it has torque and that is often over looked, but a fire breather it will never be without major work; by the time you put in it what it to be, you could get a 400 or higher class machine and have a better platform to START with and modding even better. just my .02.

I didn't get along very well with the stock carb. If it works for you you might as well keep using it. I just had trouble with mine from day 1, and got tired of dealing with it.
It's not that it's a horrible carb, it just has a few minor flaws in the design, and there are better things out there.

I too am not a fan of the stock carb, and cannot wait to purchase the Edelbrock to put on mine, whenever the hell I can afford it. Hopefully within the next few weeks. The Air Lid mod is taking and cutting out holes in the lid, but I actually ended up rebuking on that one at least for this time of the year, because I am riding in some deep nasty mud and water, and that can allow mud and water to enter the intake system much easier.

you may not have problems... but it doesnt mean that it is a great carb and cant be a better alternative. it is just a **** poor desinged carb. change it and find out! put a kehin or edlebrock... you will see my friend.</end quote></div>
Oh I'm sure the aftermarket carbs are better, but my philosophy is "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Plus the 350 is for sale so the only thing I'm going to put on it is some soap & water.

if you ever needed new bolts or any new part of the bike. where would you find them?</end quote></div>
You can go to Lowes, Home Depot, your Yamaha dealer, or go to somewhere like I do - ronniesmailorder.com, select online microfiche on the left, select your machine, select which section you want a detailed drawing of and wa-lah. You can order right off of the microfiche and it gives you part #s and prices.
