Yhea cometic and vesrah are great gaskets, I just use stock oversized gaskets on mild builds, but my wolverine has whatever fst provided for the head gasket, and a modified stock cylinder base gasket(which might be the only two gaskets you need anyway so why pay for all the others)

Alrighty, just called the machine shop, and luckily the guy who runs the place actually had a his own Warrior back in the day. He said it'll cost me about $100 to get it bored .040 over and get the valves reground etc, and another $200 for a P&P. Sound reasonable?

So this is it, my final list I do believe of what I am doing to the quad:
Wiseco 10.25:1 .040 over piston w/ valve job
Ported & Polished head
WebCamshaft .430" Lift
Stainless Steel Racing Valve Springs (from Web)
FMF Powerbomb Header
HMF Sport Pipe
K&N Air Filter - with air lid drilled
Edelbrock 3011 Thumb Carb (However, this may be another month or two, as I am electing to get the headwork etc done while I have this all torn down)
14tooth front sprocket
To come:
New shocks all the way around
Heavy Duty clutch (when this one goes out)
Extended A Arms
Oil Cooler

Well, ended up being about $400 over budget, which is why the carb may have to wait a month, but I've got a nice tax refund coming up in a few months, so that will enable me to take care of the rest all at once I hope. Between what I paid for this quad and all the parts save suspension, I will still have under $3000 into this thing. I'll have to take some pics once I get everything done and clean it all up.
Also, I have heard about removing the parking brake completely from the Warrior, anyone that can clue me in on that, as I do believe mine drags, and of course it doesn't set anyway, so it is useless to me.
How long of a break-in period should I allow once I do all of this stuff?

Sounds like you have a pretty decent quad coming under a good budget. I would break it in with just varying the rpms and riding it like you will ride it after break in(but not excessivly hard on it).
I make sure to rev mine all the way up after warm up a few times so that the ring lands dont get just worn in to the bottom of the cylinder and not strected out like the will be on hard running.

Just an update here, tore the motor down Sunday and took it to the shop yesterday, he did the port and polish job for me, reseated the valves, bored it to the .040 over piston and slipped my new valve springs in there as well as putting the rings on the piston for just under $300. Not to mention the 24 hour turnaround on it. I am very, very satisfied with the job he did on it. Will be rebuilding her on Saturday/Sunday this weekend, have all my parts now except a 4 degree timing advance key that I found, and that will be the last thing to go anyway. Will post back with results and some pics of everything this weekend. Thanks guys!
