Ok, I was riding today and I went the WHOLE day without realizing that the capon my anti-freeze overflow tank was missing and by the time I realized it it was full of muddy water. All of a sudden my 2 month old Wolvy backfires sputters and dies...put it on half choke and crank it no problem...we start heading to camp and about a mile it backfires sputters and dies again...I keep trying and it takes like 10 mins but it gets going then it happens again and wont start at all. But I got it home and removed the airbox. When I cover the hole with my hand and put it on full choke it cranks, idles really high, and dies. Im thinking there is a fuel problem because I cant see the antifreeze having muddy water causing that. Any help/suggestions?

Well for 1 you need so pictures of your bike... I would like to see the 27" Mudlites on it...
I'm with you... I don't see how the mud would make it not run... I'll do some looking and see what I can find...

First off get a service manual, then flush the cooling system completely to remove the mud and debris, you can pull off the water pump, remove the thermostat, and then flush the system by removeing the radiator cap and using hot water pour it down the radiator and out of the water pump hole.
The only thing that I could think of would be that if you got it overheated because of no coolant but even then you might not have much of a problem.

Sounds like you have some crud floating around in the float bowl. I think the idle jet got plugged. The float bowl will need to be dropped, pilot jet removed, and the idle circuit cleaned out.

If you drop it off....youll most likely pay. If its a plugged jet, it isnt warrentee work, but everyday normal stuff.

I lost my radiator cap the first time I took it out. I got a new one from the dealer and used a 1/16" cable to secure it in place so that I would not loose it again. As far as the running drain the fuel bowl and remove the bowl and clean the jets.
