Default pricing for selling my 07 griz 450

hi, those of you who remember me (the lemon owner) i have a 450 grizzly '07 and its had its fair share of problems. i've also had my share of bad luck with it to so i've decided to sell it. i got in a bad accident 2 weeks ago with it, got pretty lucky with it, only broke a few bones and bruised my body pretty bad. thank goodness for a helmet. anywho it gave my quad a beating. i bent both racks alot, and twisted the handlebars down alot, all the controls have huge scuff marks on them and the plasitc is bent bad in the front, scuffed bad as well as cracked in one place. its got alot of aftermarket parts such as full CV guards, engine skid which doubles as a plow mount, 50 plow, used one winter, warn rt25 winch, high lifter high capacity front springs, and i think thats it. in the time that i've had it i had to replace the brakes, computer, 4x4/dif lock motor, starter relay, oil seal and i think thats it. oh, and it still leaks oil, i think out of the seal again. before my computer fried, i remember it having about 600 miles and the new computer has about 200 so i estimate 800 miles. oh and the pull starter doesnt pull. (its a piece of ****, but the buyer doesnt need to know) what do you guys think i could get for it? i was hoping at least 5000 oh and lastly, i was going to try bending the racks back, replacing if needed, and putting all the controls back in place as well as handlebars and selling like that. still runs fine though. thanks a bunch

Honestly...

If it had all that done... you MIGHT get $4500 for it.. I mean the person who buys it is gonna know it has been rolled... You might want to consider insurance in the future.... I know there is an 07 Grizz in my area that is left-over and going for $5,300 new.. and the 09's are coming out this summer..

My Grizzly 450 has 700 miles on it and the only problem I have had is I needed a new axle seal on the rear differential.. because it leaked.. but it was under Warranty so it was replaced for free Trust me.. I don't baby my quad either.. my fenders, skid plates and footwells can show that. I do wash it after every ride and grease it every 3-4 rides... So far I am quite impressed with its abilities even though it is only a 421cc engine.

well as a person that sells alot of stuff, I'd say your first mistake was asking about it on a forumn.... but just my opinion... If a new one will sell for $5,300 you could get $3,500 for it maybe, unless the right sucker comes along, but when I sell something I always tell everything that has gone wrong and what the issues are now, and ussually get more than if I didn't.... When you tell people what the problem that you know of, people are alot more trust worthy....

The buyer does so need to know about the problems, put yourself in the buyer's place... think.

P.S. You bought a $6200 atv but can't muster up $500 for the insurance deductable, why did you even bother with insurance?

Well I seen it at $5300 because it is a 2007 and the guy needs to dump it... silly him for buying too many...

As far as insurance goes.. it would have only cost me $40 less for the $500 deductible plan... I literally got coverage on my quad at 230pm on a Friday.. .3 hours later I rolled it (ya know took it up a hill that looked too steep and guess what! it was). I did $850 worth of damage and only paind $250 to get it fixed kinda cool since my policy only cost me $232 to begin with

why do i bother with insurance? in case i kill somebody or i accidentaly run somebody over. and its the law too. but think about it, im 16 years old, 500 bucks is alot, as far as having 6200 to buy it, i saved alot of it, borrowed from my mom and payed her back. and yes, i bought it a little over a year ago. and half the problems i've had with it, wern't my fault the dealer paid for about 600 bucks in parts for it. its a lemon, remember? so only half of whats wrong with it was my fault
