my girl friend was looking at a 96' fof $1,600, here in cheyenne wy. it had minor mods, nice lightning bolt storm looking graphics. it had decent power but with the 6-speed tranny she said she felt she was shifting to much on a trail where she road tested it... i think i depends on what kind of riding you do...warriors are a good reliable quad. as far as mods, there endless. grab some quad mags, or research this site and i'm sure you see a lot of mods. happy quad hunting.

Price depends on year model. I wouldn't buy a '87-98 for that price. There are many quads that are better, but at a higher price. The Warrior is a good trail quad for the money. They were Yamaha's top trail quad back in the late '80's/early 90's when the only choices you had were a Banshee, Blaster, & Warrior.

warrior reliability cannot be beat, & the respond well to aftermarket exhaust/jet kit well.
They are underpowered compared to a 400 class machine though, that is a fair price for one
