Default 2000 Kodiak clicking

I was wondering if anybody on here had this issue with there Kodiak ultramatic?
I was plowing snow with mine, and i lost my 4x4 and it started making a clicking noise.
When i put in 2 wheel drive the noise goes away.
Just wondering if anyone ever had a front differential go? or if any one had a drive shaft get stripped?

Front prop shaft splines do let go. Stick it in 4WD. Jack the front end up turn a front wheel by hand, if the other wheel doesn't spin backwards, check how much of the front prop shaft is moving, if none of it moves either the splines where it goes into the diff nose have gone or the diff itself is faulty. Could just possibly be a driveshaft spline or CV joint gone, but this should be obvious when turning the wheel. I have known cable operated 2WD/4WD gearboxes to not mesh properly due to cable stretch, doubtful if this could happen with the electric shift of the Kodiak.
