Default Neutral & Reverse Light No Function

I pulled my 2008 Yamaha Grizzly 350 apart to clean carb and also attempt to make the solenoid main fuse quit popping and to get the N and R lights and Headlight restored...Changed solenoid and volt regulator along with carb with success...I had the Grizzly running/idling just fine then it quit on me again. This time there is no N or R light, but the headlights do work, and the solenoid fuse isn't popping...Does anyone have any ideas?

Has anyone out there run into a situation like this, or possibly something similair. I used a test light today to check to see if the wires coming from the Neutral and Reverse switch were functional, and since these switches are triggered with ground, I attached a light tester to the positive battery terminal and used the probe end to test the wire....I got light all the way up the wire and to the dash...Is there another wire that runs into the N or R lights that needs to be receiving voltage in order for the lights to work, and more importantly, for the electric start to work? I really need somebody to throw me a bone here! Any and all info/suggestions are highly sought!
