Where to get key replacement for 2011 Griz?
#2
Yes, dealerships should be able to cross reference the VIN with the key number and get you a new key. There may well be a number under the plastic shroud on the key but you don't want to damage the plastic to find it. Hondas have the number on both key and side of ignition switch, not sure about Yamaha. Finally, a key cutting service could cut one using your existing one as a pattern, just like your house keys.

After a lot of pulling I worked the key out of the rubber and lo and behold found the elusive number. I never thought about that...cutting a key using this one as a copy. I've been told they might even be able to do it at the local big lumber store. Guess we'll see. Thanks merryman
