These two machines are very different even though they are in the same class.
It depends on what you want to do with it. You can go on and on for days with the pros and cons of these two quads, but the weight factor and the fit and feel are the big differences. If you aren't planning on doing any racing, the Warrior's extra weight wont be that big of an issue.
You need to sit on both of these machines to see how it fits you. That has usually been the deciding factor with customers looking at both models. The Warrior fits the taller guys a little better than the 300EX. Guys who look at these machines to race or do serious play riding usually pick the 300EX.
Try and find a dealer who carries both Honda and Yamaha who allows you to test drive the machines before purchasing. After this, you will know for yourself which one fits you.

Thanx, i have rode both the EX and the warrior, i have only ever jumped and raced around with my friends on the EX, but i'm looking for an all around good bike, and i have been told for the Warrior. I'm pretty sure i'm going to get a warrior, considering the price is only 200 dollars more and you get a bigger engine. Plus with the warrior i get 300 dollars for accessorires, compared to the 300EX with 150. I'm going all WARRIOR!

I've never ridden with a 300ex but I have ridden with 250X's and I hear they are about dead even. The Warrior is a far better machine if you ever hit the dunes, in the woods they are about the same. (Warrior & 250X ) I dont see where the 25lbs equates to being "alot heavier". It's certainly not enough to make up for the power difference. The Warrior is quicker and faster. Unless you spend alot of time airborne it's just plain more fun. Realistically though I'd probably skip em both now and at the minimum buy a 400ex or the new Zuki 400. You'll spend alot more on the Warrior and still have less although the reverse gear is an advantage over the 400ex.

go with the warrior its a better all around machine. it has alot more power. i'm gonna get a warrior and from what i hear and have seen they are alot better than the 300ex(i have ridin the 300ex, so believe me i know what i'm talking about when it comes to the 300ex)i have a blaster know and the blaster is a he!! of alot better of a hill climber. that and the blaster is faster but not by much. the warrior will beat both the 300ex and the blaster.
