14mins

Have you been to the dynojet website? On their site they list dealers that have Dyno machines. If you have not checked it you might try. You may have one just down the street.

Incase you have not checked this site for this info. You can go here to make it easier for you. Good luck.

Here ya go 14mins. This is what they have listed for Texas. You'd think there would be a lot more. But luckily for you there is one 20 miles from your town.

Wshrdskin- Thank you for the info. My friend raptorrrc has tried to contact them. I will give them a call, and report back. I really want to dyno my quad, to verify the tuning. And to see the NUMBERS of course!

Anyother builders want to step in, and see what our expert panel of internet guru's have to say. I find most of this thread very interesting and informative. Being mechanicly challengened, along with my spelling.

Herbdon- congrats on joining the brotherhood of 686, or 690 club.

Why is everyone shying away from the 720 motors? Seems like most of trinity's are going 686. Any thoughts why?

i understand that the 720 motors are a bit more difficult to manage for the average trail rider (so is the turbo) its not just about hp its about hp you can use, and like kingraptor mentioned there is that money thing

Thanks for the info on the 720. I was starting to think Raptor720 was talking everyone into the 686, so he can be the BIG MAN at the hill. lol J/K

I have a feeling that the next 4stroke wars are going to be very INTERESTING. When are the rules going to be posted?

I thought about the 720 for a while, and then better judgement stepped back in.

The magazines should pick up on some of these threads and run a full story on some of the ideas that are kicked around on here.

I wish the big shops could build/maintain a full on racer to run in front of the public. But it is not hard to see, why that would not work. The winner is going to be whoever walks thru the door with the most$$$$$$$$$.$$ . That should about cover it.

A 686 is a quick mod. You can get away with just the bore and head work vs the 720 that requires split engine cases. I guess when we talk about needing more power we can look to Howard Hughes to explain the need.

A reporter asked Hughes, "Mr. Hughes, you have millions of dollars in the bank and property all over the world --- you could not spend the interest you make on your money even if you tried your hardest. How much is enough?"

Hughes thought for a moment and replied, "Just a little more."

I am always in search of just a few more dilithium crystals! I an never happy with just a little more.

I don't have the 686 or the 720 but was contemplating going bigger. Anyway along with the added cost I have heard the 720 also vibrates a bit more. Where the 686 feels more like the standard bore in regards to vibration. Is there any truth to this???

I can only speak for my Raptor and those built by Trinity. I have not felt any odd or greater vibration in the 720. I can say that stock it vibrated more than the 686 or 720.

Good thing that nascar is not involved. We would have to run restrictor plates, so the other manufactures could keep up!!
