770 POWROLL KIT?
#162
<< The reason most people choose the Trinity 686 over the 727 kit is simple economics. Being the poor bastard that I am, I went with the biggest bang for the buck. You gain approximately 15hp going to a 727 over the 686 with all things being equal and you have to fork out a bit more cash to do it, plus you MUST have FCR's to fuel the added air pump with the 727. Split the case, sleeve the cylinder, some people are just not that motivated for all of that.
Having said that, if I were not so DAMN poor, I would consider doing the new Trinity 800 kit . >>
Ha.ha...now I've heard everything. Taz is poor. I think you compete with Saad on he who dies with the most toys wins category...

I have one remaining -- it is mine. I have gone as far as the UK to purchase extras. Someone on this site got one from somewhere back East (not cheap. I would try Galen at Bikeworx.
Carillo will not have any for at least 8 more weeks. If someone really wants the rod, make me an offer. I could be willing to sell it if the price is right.

Raptor720,
I need a stronger rod for the engine I am having built. How much will you take for the Carillo rod and would I need anything else to use this rod?
Email direct at n5hty@centurytel.net
Thanks,
ArkRaptor

BackCountry,
Most people are not exposed to the fuel additives that you mention. In this case, more than one person there commented about sore throats, eye burning, etc. These comments are consistent with fuel additives.
What we simply wanted was Lyle to get Dave's Raptor and bring it in for a verified dyno run. That would have removed any issue about fuel and also provided SParks with some great advertisement. If you recall, they splashed their apparent win over every web site from here to China.
No show at the dyno to me means that fuel was the big performance feature. That being the case, I believe that King and I have the fastest Craptors in the area.

Everyone on here wants horsepower ratings - here it is: 68.4 hp with 47.3 foot pounds of torque, 660cc motor, all 5 valves stock size, running on race gas. This was achieved with an 11.9:1 piston, cam and valve springs, tuned exhaust, two 38mm carbs, the head flowed 189 cfm at 10" of water and at 450 lift. I put this on here just to prove this motor is capable of these kind of hp figures but I also want to state that this is not the kind of motor I would build. It's just to prove that peak hp can be this high. I am not on here to prove anything for Four Stroke Tech or myself - this has nothing to do with me. It just proves that this kind of hp can be made and that Lyle had the fastest motor and he proved it by beating everyone. I don't believe he ran any special fuel and this just proves that this hp can be made without it. I am not here to put anyone or any company down but I will say that hp is not the only thing that matters - it's how quick you can make the machine accelerates through the rpm range from point A to point B. You can find this information for yourself at www.detnews.com go to "Sports" and click on "Motor Sports" then go to "Bench Racing with Bruce McLaughlan" and then to "Reworked engine is at heart of racebike project".

Well, It's Mickey Dunlap! Glad to see you back.
Congratulations for finally achieving 68hp --- Wait. Oh, no, it is not a horsepower number that YOU achieved -- it is again someone else.
No, it does not prove anything. I looked at their dyno run and it is pathetic. The low end and mid-range power is barely there. We build for low to mid torque NOT peak hp yet we still achieve the same peak numbers. --- How did they pull 10,000 rpm? If I am not mistaken, the 660 they ran also has a rpm limit at about 9k.
You see, we have been running 68hp on big motors for over a year. We know how they run in our own backyard (Glamis). King Raptor's 686 produces 61-63hp on stock carbs with an awsome torque curve (through the entire range). I have run against King's machine while playing with jetting on a stock swing arm model and I know how far ahead 68hp is --- it is NOT that far!! So, Mickey, thanks but no thanks for your info.
Oh, I can't resist --- Here is a quote from your post, "It's just to prove that peak hp can be this high. I am not on here to prove anything..." Which is it, to prove or not to prove.
Mickey, please read your posts before posting and check you attitude at the door.
