Lyle it sounds like you need to swallow your pride and go put up some numbers ,even if they don't stack up to the numbers you've been saying that your machine will put out.thats fine nobody will care.but they care if you bail out and don't do it.

because us 2 stroke guys can get just as much horsepower with less then half the cc's of a four stroke.theres nothing wrong with fourstrokes.i just don't see to many posts where people are argueing about who makes the most two stroke horsepoweer.i think this post is pretty silly.
everyday there is a new thread and everybody is squeeling about who has the fastest raptor. and nobody ever talks about how good the rpator versus the competition in stock form.
i know theres alot of hopup potential for the raptors and everyone seems to think that the raptors are all that,but only when modified.
all the threads on this forum that has anything to do with the raptor are bogus,cause no one can stick to the subject that started.they all become who faster whats faster.nobody ever actually gave the guy that started this post an honest answer.

Actually, the Powroll question was answered. It is fairly common knowledge that a 5 or 6mm stroke on a Raptor is a major RPM limiter. The reason is that the piston speeds are too great even at 7000 rpm.
On the issue of stock vs mod Raptors vs 2 strokes, the issue here was 4 Stroke Wars NOT 2 vs 4 or anything like that. Sure, in stock form even the Banshee is slow. That is because there are too many lawsuits over the products and resulting injuries. We talk about built Raptors because there is no reason to talk about a stock machine.
On the issue of who was faster, there is a major debate over what the Sparks Raptor was using for fuel. According to the man on the starting line, his throat was burning that day and all the next day -- that indicates fuel modifiers such as Nitromethane (an additive that produces hugh amounts of Nitric Acid, or Dioxane - gives you tumors on your liver or some other additive). Because Lyle came to this post to once again poke some shots at others, he was asked to simply back up his runs and statements. To date, he has refused. You can make your own conclusions. Now, you ask, what is wrong with running fuel mods? Well, NOTHING UNLESS you denied using modifiers and claimed that everyone else had inferior machines.

Isn't the Internet wonderful - you can get on here and say whatever you want whether it's right or wrong and you don't have to answer to anybody. Not really, but that's what everybody thinks. The Internet is very impersonal and is a very poor way to communicate clearly. It is obvious that many people misunderstood my post. I was not putting down Trinity (or any other company) and I was not trying to promote my business - I was just trying to emphasize the importance of tuning your machine properly. I have talked to just about every company mentioned on these posts this week and we have all pretty much agreed that the Internet is a "pain in the butt" for the most part. Misinformation, slandering, lying and every other kind of gossip is not good for our industry. Eighty percent of what I read on here is wrong. You wonder why people in the industry don't get on here more. It's because of the criticism that you go through and the time consuming effort it would take to answer every question - there is just no way it can be done. I use the Internet to get an idea of my market and what people are saying in the industry. Although I don't find it to be totally accurate, it gives me a rough idea of what is going on in the real world. I also have studied it enough to know that less than 1% of my business comes from the Internet. I don't have to validate myself to anyone on here but I will clarify my statement about being one of the top three engine builders. I didn't mean my statement to come across that there are only 3 top engine builders - Trinity and Powroll are at the top also. I called Harry and explained that I wasn't even thinking of him when I was making the statement because when I think of 4-stroke race engines, Curtis and TC are the only ones you see winning nationals in the GNC races. That does't mean there aren't others out there. I have gotten away from the race industry except for the GNCC's which I use as a test bed for longevity and reliability for my customers. The sand duner's and racers are only 10% to 15% of my market. The other 85% to 90% are the sport/ utility riders who want good power at a good price. Lyle already won the race - nothing else needs to be said. However, you just keep going around and around about this. The only way to end it is to go out and "whoop his butt"! If you can't do that, you have nothing to say. As far as him putting his machine on a dyno, that's absurd. When was the last time you heard Ford tell Chevy to bring their engine over and run it on their dyno? It's not going to happen. There is no need to post a reply to me. ok so lets change the subject again, the internet is a communication medium and an excellent source of info. if 80% is incorrect that leave 20% good info. I get on to help others and to check to see what others say about various products, I ignore the bs, the gossip and the slander, to be sure you will find plenty of that on the race track as well. if someone claims they make the only fast motors out there, I want to know how and why, I ride on weekends work on my quad during the week and I am always interested in how to improve things. you will note that i NEVER bash others online, so whats the big deal about proving your claims, sparks made some statements here and we would like to see those claims backed up, no bs, no rumors, no bashing, just backup your claims-->simple isnt it? the internet is great!!

There will be no dyno pulls done!If you want to race again then lets get together and have a race!I will run the fuel you supply on all the bikes we bring.And could someone show me were I gave any dyno # on what the 690 made!I'm also still waiting for a reason that there is no mention on why the 400's were so fast!Lyle

I'm giving you your chance to prove that there is some type of cheating going on all brng 3 690 1 with fcr carbs and 2 with out and all bring 3 400s you supply the fuel for all the bikes and you fill them up and we race.We will let the big sand pile dyno the motors!That is the best real world test I know!So like someone said put up or shut up!Lyle
