velocityraptor,

When some of us have 15(K)+ in our quads, and I know many of us do, you don't take to those lil bastages lightly!

Quadfather,

I almost pissed myself when you posted about your dog chewing the cover of your seat, sounds like something mine would do!lol

Speaking of theft I dont know what you would call this: I was eating at some hole in the wall resturaunt in some podunk town in the middle of oklahoma. When an f250 came by hauling a 16 ft. trailer w/ a 400ex on it when he hit a bump and the non-tied down quad bounced of the back! So I sit there for a about 45 more minutes and the guy never came back, so here come about 5 guys in a station wagon w/ a rack on top and they load it up ON TOP of the car and drive off!

Thats messed up. Its stealing alright. With all the bouncing the tie downs probably came loose. I bet that guy felt like shiite when he figured out his quad was gone.

Insurance is great. But most quad owners like to personalize there toyz. Having that toy stolen is almost impossible to replicate with insurance money and the hassle of having to deal with the insurance company. Best way to keep from being ripped off is simply keep it locked up and not visible from the street. Second, Own a big dog that likes to bark. The dog is the best anti theft device. You can not always be at home to keep an eye on that quad but the bad *** dog can!

I play with fire- we do not lock the house, keys are in the quads and vehicles. I might come home one day to a empty house and garage. But i will not lose the keys. We have a electric gate also. We only shut it when we don't want to be bothered.
