OK heres what I think. Their both excellent/top of the line utilities. I do know the praire has a bit more stomp than the grizz but from what I've heard the grizz seems to be a bit more reliable.

I have had my Grizzly since July of last year and all I have done is change the oil on a regular basis and pull Prairies out of the mud.

On another note, my little brother was going to borrow a Prairie for a trip to Colorado with me, but the owner says it is in the shop and has been for one reason or another 3 of the 12 months he has owned it.

 

having only ridden the grizz i can only offer this when i rode the grizz i thoght it was a great bike it hadled exccelent but if you plan on power slides and stuff like that go for the praire cause the grizz does not not like to slide with whole I.R.S. thing going on in the back end

 

The Griz is more $$$ but it has independant rear suspension which is a huge advantage in the mud.

I have exactly the same question that you have, should I buy the Prarie or the Grizzly. I am leaning toward the Prarie because it seems to win all of the shootouts.
I am going to rent a Prarie this Friday and test it against my Rincon, then on Saturday if they haven't rented out their Grizzly they are going to let me bring back the Prarie and take the Grizzly for the 2nd half of the rental and test it. Since the dealers won't let you ride them I figure I might as well pay $115.00 for a rental and hopefully get to test both.
