Raptor cam install help
Ward...is the motor at TDC? If so...the cam sprocket has 3 dots on it. The dot in the middle should be on top..and the 2 side dots should be level with the head. The motor is angled..so level the dots with the motor..not level to the ground. Once you have your cam sprocket in...the cam has 2 holes in it on the intake lobes. You need to line those up with the dot in the middle of the cam sprocket.
Now look at your cam lobes..the exhaust lobes should be towards the front of the motor..and the intakes towards the rear. If you have any questions..post back or reach me on AIM sn = Pullinwool

Raptor cam install help
I sent you a PM before I typed the new topic btu guess what I got my R's and C's mixed up. I only half know what I am talking about so this might be a little complex, I am typing for another guy so I don't really understand. We were trying to find the center line using a dial indicator on the rocker arm since we can't go off of the cam. Will this effect the center line? Is there a way to hold the cam in without the cam cover? With the head being shaved it doesn't effect cam timing?

Ward...did you get one of the new cams? The stage 2 cams we run right now had a problem with the decompressor hole being too deep and hotcams made a new pin for us. If your cam says HHT on the sprocket side...do not run your stock pin. It will chew it up. Bob and I chewed up our stock pins pretty badly. They look like drill bits they are so sharp. If you do have one of the HHT cams, call hotcams on Monday and talk to Sean. He will get you a pin that works with the cam. I tried calling you back before you bolted it all together..but the line was busy. Let me know how it goes and what you ended up doing.
