Default little question about removal of float cover

I am going to re-jet my raptor because of my new exhaust and i was wondering were all your guys's float bowl covers really hard to take off. Because myine are in there really good, the eight gold screws. So i am wondering if there is anything special that i need to do first, because i am just making sure that i dont strip them with a screwdriver.

Use a screw driver that is in as good as new condition. With the screw driver on the screw give it a little whack with a hammer. Most people replace them with allen heads after they get them out.

sixsixT hit it right on the head. The gold screws are a b*tch to get out. Do it just the way he said, or, I was told about this in advance, so I picked up some replacements screws and just put new ones in.
