You will be fine if you dont push it to hard. I have ridden my wifes quad a couple times and it pulls me along just fine. If you really want to read about some abuse go to the beginning of this thread and read what dirtforashirt did to his yamoto 150.

As mywifesquad said, you should be fine. I have no problem riding my wifes Yamoto and I am around your weight.

Ok, its probably fine then, thanks.
Are the foot pegs solid if you were to stand on them?

I am also big boned. The suspension loosens up a bit if ythe large kids rides it around for a few hours. Then the kids have a better suspension.

Has anyone found a six-pack rack for the Yamoto 150?

I finally fixed the spark problem I was having. It was the electronic module attached to the stator. Had to replace the stator and the module. It did the trick though.

The foot pegs are flimsy. I welded a piece of steel from the foot peg to the frame on each side to make them more sturdy.

I have the yamoto 110 also, to increase power remove the exhaust baffle.
It will make it sound better and increase power, and it's very easy, just a couple of screws in the rear of the exhaust pipe.
Also, check the air intake, they come with a restrictor. Open this up for all the air flow possible.
As for as the gears, I agree they are terrible.
I've had almost every screw, bolt, nut, work loose. Double check everything and use lock tight. I had my motor mount bolt end up missing! The battery constantly goes dead, the turn radius is not too good, but that's ok, my 8 year old rides it and I dont want him flipping over.
For him it works great. I've had problems with the rear drum cheap brakes, but they were easy to replace and parts have not been a problem to find or get.
The gears are too hard for him to shift, so he just rides around in 3rd gear all the time. A hand shifter made this very easy to shift for him, but he didnt like how it looked and took it off.
Weld on a rear arm to the gear shift and they can shift up and down easily by stepping on the shifter back or front

Check your local Yamaha shop. The heel/toe kick off the PW80 may work on the Yamoto. I know it is hard for some to believe or swallow, but Yamoto is just as much a knock-off as any other Chinese brand. A lot of theirs is either Yamaha or Kawasaki.
