New 400cc Tank Scout Arrived
#221
I think he might have a bit more performance with a different Jet. It wouldn't hurt to fool around with it one day and see if it helps.
#222
Absolutely agree... All of these are jetted so lean from the factory..no telling how much power a larger pilot and main jet could find.

Here is an email response from me to Tank-Sports today. They complain about the holidays making things difficult but yet repond on them lol. I had to repeat what they need to do again to the idiot that I keep writing to. He just doesn't seem to get it through his thick head. I don't even know why I waste my time typing anymore
You've had the opportunity to resolve things and have failed. I am still waiting for parts and never recieve return emails from you anymore and when I do it is just another excuse why I haven't recieved anything or the issue hasn't been resolved. If I cannot get the repair parts in a timely manner you can take the atv back and issue a full refund.
1. The transmission is still slipping and I have no adjustment left in the clutch
2. Still haven't recieved a cylinder head as promised
3. You sent me a control switch that has a stripped out thread on one side of it and will not tighten
4. You sent me all broken lenses (everyone is cracked just as the originals were on the mounting screw holes)
5. So far the fuel petcock was the only thing I recieved.
6. I still would like to recieve the replacement rear differential 0-ring, seal and swing arm boot since I had to spend almost $50 to buy the parts through Yamaha. Waiting over a month is a little rediculous.
As of now you have failed to do these simple things I requested. If the parts are not available please let me know so I can inform my lawyer who has had absolutely no luck reaching Tank-Sports. I've had enough of waiting around and being pushed to the side. I spent $2600 and requested parts to replace the damaged/defective ones and have had nothing but excuses and BS from you. How would you feel? I have a useless atv with a slipping clutch sitting in my gargage. I've had to do hours of labor to repair a gear oil leak already after a month of owning. You might want to get your *** moving on the parts so when I am contacted by California Motor Vehicle and my attorney I can give them some good feedback. I had to make a paypal and ebay claims because your customer service is horrible!!! I will not be screwed out of $2600 and will fight this til the end if you want to play games with me. For chist sake you have my phone number. I include in in every email. Why don't you pick up you phone and resolve this if you are that concerned about making things right. I don't care what you feedback on ebay is or how much luck or atv's you have sold. All I know if I have a major issue here and nothing has been resolved after almost 2 months. I will not end any paypal or ebay claims until I have either recieved all of the parts or South El Monte Motor Vehicle is satisfied with the way this is handled.

Mark, currently I am not sure which route are you taking. You have challenged both Paypal and Ebay to return the vehicle. But it seems that you also wants to resolve the issues on hand. Like I have said before, you can look at my ebay records and we haven't let people down before. But then please also look at it from our point of view, you are both asking us to fix the issue and get refund. Like before we are willing to do the best that we can to resolve the issues on hand, but the situation also depends on you, how cooperative can you be. We can get you the parts that you need, but please be patient as it is the holidays and certain parts are out of stock. It is the winter, with our large supply chain we can locate pretty much any part back to the source.
1. The transmission/Clutch, did you get it tightened? Are you still having slipping symptons?
2. The cylinder, would you still want us to send it to you?
3. Do you need a CV boot, cv joint seal? If so, please tell me which side, front back etc.
4. I have noted here that the lenses were cracked when it got there, so we can ship you another pair when it comes in.
5. I suppose the new set of switches and fuel petcocks are working?
We like to solve this problem. But I think with the looming claims on paypal and ebay, you have to ask yourself what if. Let me know how you would like to proceed. We have sold over 10 400U and over 20 other vehicles on ebay never with an issue that we could not resolve.

Has Motor Vehicle or my lawyer has made contact with you yet? My lawyer made me aware that he was having issues contacting Tank-Sports and the phone numbers Jim or James gave to me. I'm still without parts and have a defective atv. You do not answer your phone or return my phone calls so this is the route I had to go.

Not only did you send me more junk. You didn't send the cylinder head, rear pinion seal, o-ring seal or the rubber boot. I've sent pictures and have pages and pages of emails of what was promised to me. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to straighten this out. But it may take an absolute idiot a full month to send someone more defective parts. I can't wait for California Motor Vehicle to start answering the phone today. I do not even want this atv anymore. Your word and warranty mean nothing anymore to me. You phone number is just as useless seeing that I get transfered to an overfull voice mail box everytime I call.

You better be kidding and have another package on the way. Not only do you sell junk you don't honor your warranty now. My lawyer and I will be contacting California Motor Vehicle to put in a dealer/repairer complaint for Tank-Sports. I'm so pissed off and sick of this crap right now. I will now start a ripoffreport.com review for tank-sports also so everytime someone googles your company it will pop up and warn people of the junk you sell. I'm done being patient and playing the nice guy with Tank-Sports. Here's pictures of more junk you sent me after waiting a month. You didn't even include the cylinder head like you had told me. Every one of the lenses is broken just like the ones on my atv crrently if not worse and you removed used parts to send to me.

Wow this explains alot....I just recieved this email from someone who must of read the forum posts or ripoffreport
Actually I still have the shipping and packing reciept from Tank-Sports which I included for the South El Monte motor vehicle inspector. I also included ALL email responses from your Tank Sports email addresses and a copy of my paypal payment which also went to one of them at Tank-Sports. I think I have plenty of evidence to hold Tank-Sports accountable. This explains why I keep getting screwed over for parts. Thanks for finally being honest with me

Mark, due to the nature of the company status, I am unable to disclose anything until a press release is done or when the corporate attoney gives the go ahead. But the issue on hand is mostly between you james jim and don, not related to Tank Sports. It was our ebay account and paypal account.

Hello,
I see that you had a huge problem with Tank .I was a Tank dealer, and they always were very helpful, but I luckily did not have many problems. Did you hear that they closed up the business? Being a dealer, I would of thought that they would of sent out e-mails to their dealers and tell them that they were closing. When was the last time you spoke to them? I had just bought some scooters(still in crate)I hope there are no problems with the scooters-because if there are problems-I guess I am on my own…Please let me know the last time you had phone contact with them…Thanks Jim

As I mentioned in earlier posts, the company is still in good standing and keeping their company location current with the Secretary of State which manages corporations doing business in Ca. I am sure they need to comply with these reporting requirements because their company is traded as a pink sheet or bb stock. Requirements are much lower to trade here but it is a "kind of" public company so they do have some additional rules they must follow over being a wholly private entity.
This message is quite disturbing as it appears they have some company status details they can not divulge until it follows the proper rules in relating status to the public.
Good luck!

I had to cut a plug connector today and direct connect 8 wires that go to a relay. I started the atv to move it into my shed and the oil temp warning light was lit up and the oil cooler fan was not kicking on. I started poking around and found a connector in front of the battery near the relays corroded with what appeared to be battery acid. I pulled the connector apart and the metal connection pins fell right out of it. There was not even 1 drain hole in the body where this stuff is mounted. I'm just glad the relays weren't damaged. That would of been just another issue to ad to the long list
