White smoke
Hi everyone,
I bought my kids some used chinese 110cc atv that I was told work but didnt. I have one working but after running for 20min or more i noticed white smoke from the engine. Just sitting idling it was smoking. I put new fuel, new fuel lines, new carb, new spark plug. Online everything says white smoke is a rad/coolant issue. However these chinese atv dont appear to have a rad to leak coolant. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Booker

how much fuel have you run since you got it? it may just be burning the varnish and crap thats mixing in from the tank. Your not mixing your fuel right? What is the compression on the engine? it may need a little freshening up with new cyl rings they may be letting a bit of oil past
Havent run much fuel through it. Only had it running 20 min maybe 30 min. It is used. And dont know about compression. A friend has also said ma6be a bit of oil is leaking out and burning. Going to check that next.

Ive read white smoke is coolant burning. I ha ent been able to find a rad on these atv. Im being told them might be air cooled. I have ripped the atvs apart all accept the motor and the piece between the motor and carb. Which is also where the exhaust connects and that connection is where the smoke comes from. Im not mixing. Its straight fresh gas. Would i get this white smoke if they over filled the oil? And burning oil?
