Default Bewildered...

Well Lynn, it starts now. This is what happened tonight:

I took the carb off and cleaned it again. This time with a little more intensity.

Anyway, this time around I let the engine warm up and then attempted to adjust the fuel mixture: I turned the screw inward until the engine started to slow down, then I turned it the other direction until it sounded like a good idle.

I don't know. I'm just guessing. So far it starts. I'll see what happens tomorrow.

These Hammerhead Twisters seem to be sensitive to put in kindly...

Have you removed both jets? the main jet holder? and the fuel screw? for the cleaning?

A fuel filter is a good idea...

I removed the fuel screw this time for cleaning and now it's been starting for the past two days

I also messed with that fuel screw (adjusting), but I was guessing at the adjustment. Hope I got it right. It must be right since it's starting now.
