I was wondering what the best belt is for a NON-EBS Sportsman and a Scrambler, I had heard that Dayco makes a top cog but did not know the part number or if they were the best. Any thoughts

Well in my conclusion that I have come to I think the GoodYear Powerstreak is the best I can not remember the part# but I will check you should be able to get your dealer to cross reference it for ya with no trouble.

Have a good one

I am not sure which is the best, But I recently bought a GoodYear Power Streak and it performed poorly on a stock machine. The belt slipped under full throttle when starting out and dragged when idling, making it hard to shift in and out of gears.I took it off and got a Dayco belt (not the top cog style) and my machine was back to normal. I belive the problem is that the belt is to strong (stiff and hard) and the stock clutch cannot grip it hard enough when starting out under full throttle. Also it is a very stiff belt and drags on the front pully when idling. It may perform well though with a modified clutch. The stock and the cheaper dayco belt were softer and more pliable and (I believe) alow it to be gripped better. Just my experience and oopinion. GJ

Dayco's best belt is the Ulimax2 I see them used at snowmachine drag races (grass and snow) on 150 hp screaming 2 stroke triples so they will do fine on on any quad. They make these belts out of the same material as the nose of the space shuttle.LOL

I'am using the Dayco on my 425 Magnum and a friend
is using it on his 500 Scrambler and it works fine
on both quads,it seemed to be a little tighter then the stock belt.
