Default What clutch on sp 700?

I've decided on a new primary for my 02 700.

Its getting old and I'd like a spare.

Was wondering if the 07 800 clutch would fit on a 700 or 06 800, and if there was even any difference besides the weights and springs? I looked on the parts pricing and they seem to be the same price but different part numbers. If it would be worth it I would put the new 07 800 primary on my 06 800 and my 06 800 primary on my 02 700.

Any comment appreciated.

P.S. anyone know where I can get a polaris primary puller.

Thanks Trailbound

too much damn snow and cold weather to keep tryingit. lol. no actually i gave up on the h/c kit. but r.r. sent me a another set up w/ all kind of springs to try, so when it ever straightens up i'll put the h/c on the 450 and start tuning the 800 again. just a side note if the h/c doesnt do a good enough job on her bike it will be up for sale.

Best of luck I hope it all works out for you. Definitly interested in the results. On the H/C issue, If you can't make it work, I doubt I could.

everything i read and was told from some good guys it requires changing the secondary spring and i didnt want to play the expensive game of buying 3 or 4 springs. although this kit that is going to me is going to have a sec. spring and is designed for the 800 w/ big tires so it ought to be instesting. i'll do testing and post the results for my friends who want to know.

Great!! I've done my first reall clutch work this year on sporstmans. Rebuilt the secondary with new bushings on my 02 700 and pulled and cleaned my 02 700 primary on Saturday. Also changed the weights back to my elevation.

The 06 & 07 800 primary will work on your 700. I would go ahead and buy the 07 since its the same money. They made a change in the 07 primary somewhere thats why the have different part numbers. You will need to use your stock weights and spring in the new primary.
