BIGGER Battery? Or run 2 Together?

The are aftermarket batteries you can buy with higher 18 AH and with 300CCA. Much better than your stock battery's 12AH and 175 CCA rating.
Just google "ATV Batteries and you will find them, West Co makes them but many others do as well.

cupz71. nice and clean battery install. id like to do this to my polaris for the next winter as i have the same issue. battery drains when the headlights, hand/thumb warmers are on along with the winch and my led blinking lights. id also like to put mine under the rear rack above the tranny. or i may just find a bigger battery that will fit.

HawkeyeRider - IF you wire the 2 batteries in PARALLEL your charging system should ONLY see it as ONE battery. You must pair up the batteries as close to the same AH rating so one doesn't "bleed-off" pwr to the weaker one The CCA isn't really a factor.
My AC battery is rated 12AH / 175CCA and the Walmart special lawn tractor battery ($20) is 12AH & 330CCA. It's CAPACITY/AMPS per hour you want. Your stator will happily put out about 14.4 volts when charging. It isn't perfect, but it works.
I also put a 1.5amp battery maintainer on when I know the TRV will sit for a while. It keeps BOTH batteries at 13.3 volts.
ITS: BAT#1 is normal hookup
BAT#2 is POS to POS on BAT#1 & NEG to the bike frame.
The maintainer is POS to BAT#1 and NEG on BAT#2
