Fuel!! It was laying just inside the muffler. Its like it isn't burning it all up. Is that a carb setting? It is also smoking alot but the guy that rebuilt my engine said he left a little oil in the bottom of the engine b/c he wasn't sure how long I was going to let the engine set before firing which it has been about 5 months. Thanks

I was messing around with my carb today and it runs perfectly fine with the mixture screw all the way closed, this this is way over fuel by the pilot jet or needle jet. I got a carb kit coming so we'll see if it makes it better, anything really can be better than it now.

I would drop the needle jet one possibly two notches
Not raise drop
This means you move the clip up
This will drop the needle into the seat further and you should get your adjustment back
McDerry Has some good points on jetting
But my manual calls for a richer jet on my 185S #95 that is what was in the carb
But something that we need to take into account is Altitude
I am only at 1100 feet
If your at a higher altitude smaller jet
Good luck

Do you happen to know what the correct pilot jet number is? I can't seem to locate that info anywhere.

I believe it to be a #38
This is what is in the kits I have in the garage
The manual does not say what size
Thanks

Moving the needle clip position will affect the mid throttle jetting.
