37 Years Old and thinking about coming out of retirement!

I guess my question to the forum is do you think 37 is too old to get back in to racing? I used to race a 86 250R in North Georgia from 86 to 90 with some resonable level of success. I had to get out of racing after I got married and started having kids. It just got too expensive. I never have been able to get it out of my blood. I think I would enjoy it more now that I'm more mature and the financial situation is much better. I also would like to get my son started in racing. He has a Polaris Scrambler 90 and is a natural on it.
I'm really not trying to relive my glory days I'm just want to have some fun. Just something for ya'll to think about.
Thanks for any feedback,

There is an older gentleman that races in District 23 Minnesota. Sure he competes in the VET and OPEN classes. Sure he finishes near the front of the pack almost every race. But that's not the crazy part. The most amazing thing is that he is over 60 years old! And right now, he's faster than a lot of the guys that are 20. Your never to old to have fun.....

I raced this year for the first time at 30. Won the plus 30 class at my local track. I had a blast, but broke my wrist and leg. Leg was avoidable-jumped a double that I shouldn't have and I know it. Wrist was from handlebars kicking back on a landing. Went on to win that race though. I say go for it. Have a blast.

Go for it . Im 41 and strated back racing 3 years ago when my 2 sons wanted to start to race . We race MX and i have a blast . Thoses young guys usually come on me in the last couple laps but i givem hell till then . It is a great feeling to beat some of them and my sons brag to the other racers that they were just beat by and old man . hahaha . We plan to run 3 national races this year , me in the +40 and my sons in the 250A and pro-am . Ill be on the black and red 2-fiddy team bowling racing . Oh yea believe it or not i find it easier to get sponsers at this age . Not big ones of course but local people wanting to see the old man shut down a few youngans . See ya at the races !!!
