Just sold my Scrambler 400 so its time for a new RIDE!
I'm torn between the Vinson and Prairie 650, but i'm leaning toward
the Prairie. The prices I've found so far aren't that good. $5950 + tax
for the Vinson, $6750 + tax for the Prairie. Anybody seen better prices.

Thanks

The invoice price on the Prairie is $5,959. That includes delivery from Kawasaki and setup. Anything over that is dealer profit. I managed to negotiate a price of $6,100 out the door excluding tax. The dealer also gets a 3% holdback on MSRP of $6,999. That means the dealer profits close to $300 if they sell at invoice. Any price from $6,100 to $6,400 is great. Stay away from the Vinson. Its a good ATV but not near the ATV as the Prairie. The Vinson suspension is very cushy and will bottom out.

I paid $6,400.00 out the door for my prairie 650, that included tax and everything. The actual sale price was $5,648.00, with tax, and all other fee's, it was $6,400.00 out the door. I saw that someone else here had got one for that price, so I went into the dealer and told them that I would buy it today if they gave it to me for $6,400.00 out the door. They tried to tale me that they couldn't do it for that amount, and that they could go $6,000.00 plus tax, but I just said no thanks. Then they came back and said ok, $6,400.00 out the door tax and all. They now have one setting on the show room floor with a sale price of $5,999.00 on it. So you can definitely buy them for less than what you’re seeing advertised. Be careful, don't get screwed over.

AREA 51-- I would like the name and # of your dealer. I have been looking online, and by phone for 2 weeks. My best price was $6350 + tax OTD. I could afford to have one shipped to me, from your source, at THAT price!

Trx450, glad to help. The name of the Dealership is Motorcycle City; it is located at 4260 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, NV 89121. There phone number is 702-451-1121. They currently have a Green 650 setting on the show room floor with a sale price sign on it of $5,999.00. The one I bought from them was Green also, so I don't know if they have any red ones or not. I thought I wanted the red one, until I saw the green one. I think green on the Prairie 650 just looks better. Anyway, ask for "Andy Trutanich" tell him that Brian Magby referred you, and that I bought a Prairie 650 from him about a month ago, hopefully he can get you hooked up. Tell them that you will only buy it for $6,400.00 out the door, like I said, at first they told me no, but once they saw that they were going to loose the sale, they changed there mind. I'm sure you will have to pay for shipping on top of the $6,400.00 out the door price. Let me know how it goes.

I have found one in North Alabama for 6325 out the door in choice of color. I have searched and this is the best I have found in 3 states. Just trying to decide whether to wait until the 2003 models come out.
