hey joe, do you go these "snake hunts"? they sound like alot of fun. maybe someday when I am rich and famous I can drag my toys down that way. or I could stow away in sandbombers coach [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I bet he has a storage compartment under that thing that is bigger than my trailer. anyway, I was looking at biggers pics of that event. you southern boys have all the fun. it kinda reminds me of jack rabbit roundups we use to have when I lived in southern Idaho.

 

Phanthom tell us about that 2006 DS-450 you will own. Maybe 450 2-stroke twin SDI or is it that V-twin 4-stroke 450 that is in the Aprilla, all wrapped in a AL. frame.

Tell about the the 800 Outlander? You must have info on that machine also!

I can say that you probably have a better chance to see a 450 2 stroke than the v-twin Aprilla. The Aprilla is quite a bit larger than people imagine it to be and is designed to rev beyond 12,000 rpm I believe so a powerplant like that, probably not be the best choice to exotic it definiately be. It's problem is it needs revs to really shine, and a powerplant like that can make a ride more tiresome than it needs to be.

I have heard of a possible 800cc outlander, however I have no proof to it's existance at this time. I will update that as needed.

And in no way am I saying there will be a 2-smoke, just that the odds are better than the twin 450.

The Phantom.....will be around much longer than April Fools Day....

busmechanic no I haven't been to a "snake hunt" event. I have finally gottin a enclosed trailer that I'm working on to have ready for more events. In the past I've been more of a hog hunter or coon hunter & no need for the drag bike for that. Just a good ol'dog & 4X4 atv. LOL.Next year I plan on making the snake hunt event with the drag/dune bike & maybe a new rhino. The rhino will be for the wife & daughter but not sure if I should bring them to such a wild event.

busmechanic if you make your way down let me know. It would be nice to race/ride with another stand up forum member.

Side note: It's funny that a phantom has a shadow.
