Default Temp guage sensor?

How much did it cost you?? I was thinking of just going to checkers here and getting the Autometers guauges for Oil and Temp but did not know the sizes. I know the oils is a 1/4 I heard? does that mean I can get any 1/4 gauge and it will work? I looked at the temp gauges but they seem so long? I 2 would like them on the dash...

the threads on the thermostat housing for the temp sensor is 1/8" pipe. each guage will have different sized thread depending on the unit. if you'r not running a tach ( seems more important to watch rpm's than oil pressure) than you should be able to mount one or two guages in that area. i have seen handle bar mounted digital guages for both oil pressure and water temp, leaving you room for you'r tach.

Yea, I do have the tach..So do you have to extend the tap to fit the new gauge?

yes the temp sensor pick-up at the thermostat housing was to long on mine two. so i just made an extension with 1/8 pipe to keep it from blocking off to much water flow.
