I can't see it mattering but I put the raised part up.

I'm curious. How much did you torque the head nuts to?

 

168 inch pounds. I got to use my new inch pound torque wrench!
The old head gasket was leaking but this hasn't fixed all my problems.
It's still not running quite right. It runs good at low rpm but bogs when you try to rev it up over 1/2 throttle. Carb is spotless.

My niece rode it for the first time last weekend with the throttle stop set at a slow speed. I'll load a video in a few.

 

 

In my search for torque specs for my dinli Dino I found this old thread. I know this is an older thread but I think the bogging issue is a missing vacuum line from the top of the carb to the case behind the carb. Maybe this will help someone.

 

My problem turned out to be the air inlet hose on top of the air box had a mud nest in it stopping air flow.
