Making it one full year without a single re-occurence puts me in the 5% club.
When it metastasized it went a lot more places than I ever expected. I've heard of people having breast cancer in their liver, or liver cancer in their brain, etc. but damn, that's a lot of places for it to go. My understanding is that if they remove a tumor and don't get 100% of it, it only takes a few cells to get in your bloodstream to spread it around. 5% club? You must be mister 1%. I hope you kicked its *** for good.

P.S. No one in my immediate family has had cancer but one of my grandfathers had cancer in his spine and died before I was born. So far it doesn't look like it's been passed down in the family. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Sad but there has been a lot of cancer in my family. My biggest problem was I waited too long before getting it looked out and it had already metastasized.

Without question I'm pretty fortunate.

Thanks Frank - a couple $million on top of everything else wouldn't hurt.

They're building a new trail here in my canyon. Its 1.3 miles from my doorstep.

Its pretty cool.

I was the first one to ride the trail other than the two guys who built it.

First! That's even better than being the first one on virgin snow. It looks like a good trail too. 1.3 miles from my doorstep are a bunch of fast food places, a hospital, and a cemetery. Hopefully I never visit them in that order. I'd rather have a trail I could get to from my house without hauling my ATV to it.

This trail is about 2 miles from my doorstep.

This trail is 3/10 of a mile from my doorstep.

Here's looking out my front door.

They're all part of the Paiute Trail which connects 16 towns that are all ATV friendly.

The grocery store is 23 miles me and the closest post office is 14 miles. Closest neighbor is about 4 miles away.

I'm definitely living in the wrong place, but I like not having to go over a mile to a grocery store. Everything is a compromise.

Yes it is.

I use to live in a big city and now I live in a town with a population of about 90.
The biggest city in my county has about 7800 people and the entire county has jut over 21,000.
There are almost 58 acres for every person living in the county.

I could never move back to the city. Or as one of my daughters calls it, "the shitty". LOL
