TRX300 4x4 vs. Rancher
blah...i wish i could get a bigbore utility...not enough money and my dad wouldnt even consider it...the guy at the dealership told him pinning the throttle from a stop could put you flat on your back...i know its true but that has erased that idea from his mind if it ever was there..and he hates the size of them...im 14, 5'8 and 145lbs....if the trx300 is like the rancher in what i said earlier im either going to get a 300ex or attempt to get a 400ex

Even the worst sport bikes have better suspension than the best utilities, so going fast on the Rancher isn't a high priority for me!
I can't remember the actuall displacement of the 300, but it is quite a bit less than 300 as I recall. The Rancher 350 is something like 329??? So, the two bikes are about the same weight, and the Rancher has something of a displacement advantage. So, I would say the Rancher is somewhat faster (sorry, I haven't ridden a 300 in a good long while). And, the Rancher engine is sideways, where the 300 has to use gears to change the direction the drive turns, so here again, the Rancher has another advantage.

It sounds like your daddy is going to be the one buying. So you'll probably be lucky to get whatever you get. If your daddy wants to come on and ask for help. I'd be glad to help him find a nice little quad for a 14 year old. Maybe a Honda 90 would be good.
