I don't know why you guys have such a hard time believing this...

The Raptor only puts down 36-37 HP at the rear tires. The 400EX is geared better, is about 40 lbs (wet) lighter, and with just a few engine mods & the correct pipe can easily put down 36-39hp, or more if you're willing to deal with a race engine. What part of that is hard to understand?

A "few" engine mods or full race easily puts down 36-39hp?

As I said - a few engine mods, more for a "full race" setup.

There are many engine builders getting 45+ RWHP out of their "full race" setups. Upper 30's is easily attainable - reliably.

I have to ask this. Your quad beat another quad. Okay. Now what? It sounds like this is a matter of the utmost and extreme importance in your life. Is this correct?

Ok...Ok..I admit, I was just trying to poke a bit of fun. There are some engine builders that can probably get 50+ hp out of what used to be a 400ex engine. Who really cares if a modified engine can make more HP than another stock one? Come on guys...lighten up!

I like how everyone loves to compare modified bikes to stock Raptors. I cant wait to hear what excuses you guys come up with when Modified Raptors are beating Modified 400EXs.

You're right Gary, I just wanted to make the point that beating a Raptor in a drag race is by no means an unattainable goal for a 400EX.... But again, if drag racing is your thing, get a Banshee - not a Raptor, a 400EX, or a DS650....

Hey, Mike! My favorite excuse will be the additional 260cc's

What will your excuse be when the modified Raptor still gets spanked in the trails or on the MX track by the poor little 400EX
