No new dual-sport motorcycles. When are they going to learn that they would sell millions of these............

My other option is to sell my current Rancher, and just get a Rhino. One Rhino replaces TWO utility quads for about the same amount of money. And, it has a roll cage so it's going to be safer if you roll it. I don't like Yamaha that well, and I hate belt drives, but................

So far, I am disapointed, unless this engine turns out to absolutely be some kind of fire breathing dragon...............
In a sense, the Rancher has been bumped into a different class.

there seems to be some confusion as to which rancher models are new....
the '07 Rancher AT is the same as last year.
the '06 Rancher 350's are the ones that got upgraded- to 420cc, liquid cooled, trax-lok front disc brakes, new plastic (I like the camo) for 2007. Kinda wierd, the manual and ES shift ranchers now have a larger engine than the AT. Maybe look for a Rancher AT with the 420 engine next year??
either way, i'm glad for the most part that i got my 350 when i did. The 420 is heavier, and I dont like buying new engines and designs the first year out, there are bugs that warranty must figure out first. I would have liked to get the larger engine in mine, but I'll let the new models work their bugs out and when i get some money ahead i might trade in...

i sure wish honda would have put IRS on something other than the rincon. ... bummer.....

seems like honda missed the target again. glad to see some imporvements as always but seemes like it is falling a little short of what the people in the market expect. they just seem a little gunshy nowadays... what happned to their light 4x4 they were testing? i guess its in the same place as the 650EX we have been wanting to see....
that new 420 weighs too much. if it was me, and it being almost 600lbs, id def go get a can am and get a twin 500-800cc to handle the weight better. or find a left over 350 or somtin. i dont like heavy bikes but as pointed out if you going to get near the 600 mark then go big bore.
and the 300EX lives! surpising to me as well. i know it needed updating but it looks too much like their other bikes. i didnt have a problem with the previous look of it- it was kinda unique (as did the older 400ex styling); but it needed the reverse revision - that had to be the dumbest reverse on the planet. ever. id rather get off and push. took them 20yrs to fix it! the old 1987-88 250x started out having that reverse autrosity and they carried it over to the 300 in 1993...maybe next they will give it a true 300cc engine or why not a 320 for a little bit more power? perhaps efi down the road and better suspension. but then again, the efi and suspension will add to the cost. and for trails - it is the best trail bike you can buy.
