TRX250EX throttle "limit?"
#1
Does anyone know the best way to limit the throttle on a TRX250EX?
My cousin recently picked one up for his son and would prefer to EASE him into the throttle response and speed. The premise behind the higher cc quad is growth potential.
Is there an "adjustment point" or "add-on component" that would work best?
Thanks!!!

I make beginner riders stay in the low gears, and that keeps their speed down. Seems like you could adjust the cable for maximum slack, and lose some overall cable travel that way.

how did you do that? Can you show ne pictures? I need to do the same for my son's quad.

Most kid's quads have a screw at the front of the handlebar throttle box, turn it in and it limits how far the child can open the throttle. Most adult quads don't have this, but many have the tapped hole ready for the screw. So, get an aprox 40mm long screw and locknut, (not sure of the dia, 4mm or 5mm) and screw it in the desired amount.

There is another way, adjust the throttle outer cable so the lever has a lot of slack, that way the throttle only starts to work when you have pushed the lever a fair way, and has the same effect of limiting the inner cable's movement.
