If you want I can post pics of it.

I have never heard of Vortex. Is that a company like Line-x or you do it yourself?

$50 is great, even if it wears down after a few years ,I would just keep geating it redone at that price.

Does the stuff stick to plastic composite racks as well?

I used duplicolor spray-on bedliner on my racks, great texture, has held up fine for almost a year now and if you prep correctly it will last forever... the best part, it only cost $8

I did the same thing, works great. If you have to take off and put them back on anyway might as well spray em yourself too.

I used the same product last spring on my Foreman's Racks, relatively in-expensive, completed in my own garage, and held up great so far, with 1000 km's of riding I do not need to touch up the coating at all so far.

The Duplicolor product is great in that you can still clean the surface easilly and the textured finish covers uneven surfaces left by previous scratches.

When I did my racks, I sanded down ALL rust to bare metal and roughed up all surfaces with 80 grit sand paper, I primed the rust spots with rust inhibiting primer and then applied the Duplicolor spray on Truck bed liner.
