2009 Honda Rancher (SRA) Rear Shock Replacement Alterantives
#1
Hi,
I have a 2009 Honda Rancher 4x4 rear solid axle and I am interested in replacing the rear shock with something better than stock. I think the stock shock is too stiff and am looking for something more forgiving. Anyone replaced their shock with an aftermarket setup? If so what are your opinions?
Thanks

Don,t have one, but called and talked to the guys at Elka.....was very impressed with the staff and they insured me that it would greatly improve the ride of the Rancher. However with economy, I haven't got around to getting one for the rear of my Rancher. As soon as things get better, I'll nab one up soon.
I do have the Hi-Lifter springs on the rear and front for more weight carrying, but if you don't have a plow on the front or a 100 or so pounds on the rear, it is really stiff. Summer time riding I remove the front Hi-Lifter springs back to OEM for better trail riding.
