While we are waiting for the other guy to grow a set, I will tell you mine. I hunt southern Wyoming west of Laramie. So, I am walking along with my 300 win mag enjoying the scenery and notice that it's starting to get dark. I have my GPS so I figure no big deal, I kinda relax for a while and then decide to back track to camp. I had been walking for three hours in this direction, I figured three and a half maybe back in the dark. So, I am following the GPS walking with my flashlight with new batteries when the GPS starts going screwey. I have had it for two years and never had any trouble with it. I was about an hour away from camp when this happened. So, I am thinking what the heck, and I look up in frustration and see by the moon light something in the tree above me. I look at it with the flashlight and it's just like one of those stick figures from the blair witch project. I about made the poo right there. So now, I am just slightly completely freaked out and I start walking in the direction the GPS is pointing me and the flashlight keeps getting dimmer and dimmer finally going completely off. I am about to cry. So, now I am in the dark, GPS is retarded and flashlight is dead. It is starting to get cold. I walked for another few hours (minutes) when I see the lights of camp. I make it in there and my buddies are like, "Hey, there you are. Did you see the plane crash, where it landed?", I says, "Um, no but there is something weird going on up there on the mountain." when I pointed to the spot where I think I was on a map, they said that is about where the plane hit. I told them about the GPS and the flashlight and I handed my flashlight to my buddy to change the batteries, he clicked it on and it came on bright as ever. The batteries were fine. The next day, we go looking and couldn't find nothing at all. No stick figure, no plane nothing. The GPS has not acted up like that since. And we never heard anything else about the plane. I didn't see it. I still have no idea what was going on.
