Default P360 belt on P650?

I have heard rumors that there are performance advantages to running a P360 belt on a P650.
Can someone tell me definitely if this is the case or not.
If it is tue, why and how does it help?
Are there any safety issues or reliabilty concerns?
What about additional wear on the sheaves?
I am in favor of anything that will help coax every ounce of muscle from this machine, as long as it does not sacrifice reliabilty. Any direction on this belt issue will be greatly appreciated.

I have also heard rumors of the 700 belt being a little thicker and wider.
Would this be another option?
Anyone tried to run a P360 or 700 belt yet?

I think the 360 and 700 belt are the same.

I run a 360 belt on my 650 as they slightly wider than the 650 and stronger. The 700 is approximately the same as the 360 belt but has the angle cut on both sides of the belt all the way to the top where as the 360 and 650 belt do not. The 700 belt is almost twice as expensive as the 360 belt. The 360 belt and 700 belt are the same width but wider than the 650 so you will have to reshim the driven sheave accordingly. It should give you slightly more on the top end.

I found a place where the V700 belt is the same price as the P360. They were both $114.60. The P650 belt was $70.67. I might try the V700 belt when I need to replace mine. Even though the price was the same they have different part numbers, so something is different about them.

Just a thought, but if the belt is wider, won't the extra width make it impossible for the belt to slide all the way to the inner area of the pulley and basically raise your 1st gear ratio?

Alltoys, If I was to put a P360 belt on my P650 do I have to reshim the clutch. I have no shims in my clutch right now and my top speed is dropping bad, I can only getabout 59 out of the machine that used to run 67 every time. I have about 1500 miles on the belt, is it just time for a new one?

Can someone say for sure that the P360 and KFX700 belts will work and how long are they going to last? Is it worth the extra money for the other belts?
