First Prairie 700 on the way, he hay
#1
Hi everyone I just could not hold on for the 2005's
I get a little money and it burns a hole.
My new red Prairie I will pick up next Friday. I'm paying cash so have to wait.
Let me know if I screw up.
So far I have a set of Mudlites on series-6 polished rims 25" coming. There is not much mud in Arizona,
but did get into mud on the famous Paunsaugunt Plateau (for trophy mule deer) 30 miles NW of home in southern Utah.
So will stick with 25" tires for now. I was torn between ITP ATR's and the mudlites. I hope the mudlites ride good.
I also have a set of Progressive springs coming, these are the only mods so far.
Would consider a ignition mod the holeshot G3 if I knew where to. Any help out there?
Thanks

Congrats on the new quad, I wish I was in your shoes. Are you aware of the smaller lugs on the 25" Mudlites as opposed to the taller sizes? Also the tread on them is soft and supposedly doesn't last very long. I would suggest looking at some threads about Kenda Bearclaws on this forum as there is an ocean of them. GET A SECONDARY SPRING either from Dalton or EPI (black). Have the dealer order and install one for you because even they know that this spring prolongs belt life. It might not hurt to buy all the shims too from your dealership. If this all sounds like jibberish to you, check out some threads about these items. Have fun with your new machine!

Thanks to all on the feedback.
I'm going with the the 25" mud lites because of weight and the fact that I mainly trail ride.
What is this clutch spring kit all about? Is it needed if I stay with 25" mud lites?
I also have the progressive front spings.
Thanks again all, pick my Prairie up Friday.
It may be the last of the V-700's
Hey who knows could be a classic in 10 years.

Hey Archer I wished I was in your shoes too, wait a sec I am hahahahahaha. I got my 04 700 Prairie in April and I love it. But if I was you I would go with a different tire unless you really are riding in alot of mud. Check out the Dirt Devils from GBC they are 6 ply and as lite as mudlites, but cost less. They have a killer tread pattern, from what you are saying they will be better for your kind of riding

Thanks scooter, I have not even tried out the mud lites yet.
I should of went with the raidal atr's on second thought but when I called back they already shipped the mud lites. And the dealer said not to worry they were a awesome tire.
I'll give a full report on them if I don't care for them and try out the Dirt Devils.
I just hope I can keep up with these Rubicons on the trails I ride. The Rubys are not that fast but can kick the socks of the grizz 660 and bomb 650 quest when it comes to fast trail riding with shape turns.
The grizzly guys gave up after a couple roll overs. They just drag up the rear.
And yes I own a Rubicon and will be very disappointed if the Prairie can not keep up.
Full report to come.
