bbertram; I am not a english teacher by no means but I do know some chassis, and there is a lot involved here maybe you know more than me and that is why it dont make sense? I think I some folks might get some useful info out of this if not then my time was was wasted , and I am sorry for the post I am just trying to help on some Q and Answers Directed at NYROC thats all . best regards J.H.

I'm not sure, but maybe it does not whine b/c the BF does not have both a high and low range? Instead it appears to be only 1 forward gear (I suppose they did this to save weight).

I thought the whine was from the straight cut gears and not helical gears??

jmacj and custom, it might be cheaper for me to buy the a-arms than get a TIG. Besides that, maybe some of u on this forum could cooperate on that effort.

I probably wouldn't want to do it unless the 2005 really does have a-arms and I could just buy the knuckles.

I haven't ever needed a TIG. On the rare occasions that I have needed one, it seemed like finding a good welding shop was all I needed.

The BF has a low range. I can see it very clearly in this photo.

Specs say 1 range but they also say 2 ranges in the gear ratio area. Weird.
