Default Dalton Clutch kit?

Can someone explain what this kit accomplishes with the P700? Does it give it a more responsive auto clutch or an actual manual clutch?

An aftermarket clutch kit can change the engagement RPM of the transmission, thus putting the machine into a higher part of the powerband before the wheels start turning.

I have the Dalton kit in my 650. It works great. It gave me a bit higher engagement and more belt squeeze. Therefore less belt slipage and longer life. Top end is the same but the lower and midrange power is a bit better. I also have put in a holeshot module. It will lift the front end in high gear from a dead stand still without even trying. I made my own Muzzy exhaust and also used a snowmobile shock for my lift kit. Check my pics. I need better and bigger tires now. The bearclaws are great but I am more into hittin' the muck than when I first got it.

Cool. That explains it. Would you say it is a 'must have'?

Personally, I do a fair amount of slow, technical riding in the rocks. I don't need any wheel spin, so I'll keep my stock setup. When I buy my KFX-700, you bet it's going to have a Dalton clutch kit.

It works fantastic, we have them in all our Prairies and VForce,, Dale at Daltons is loaded with info on these clutchs and he will explain and answer any questions you may have! He has a V of his own!
My FST 785 Prairie has just a tad more power than a stock machine and it has been ran 1000 plus miles taking a severe beating in everything from the 12 Hours of ATV America race, the GNCC races, harescrambles, mud holes, to trail riding and so on with the Dalton set up and all this still on the original belt! Does the Dalton stuff work,,, absolutly,,, would never ride without it again!
Dalton's phone number is speed dial #3,,, ok sorry,,, that's in my phone,,, LOL,,,
902-897-3333 and ask for Dale
