Default New tires=less power=Clutchwork?

I dont know much about the clutch in these. Im going to start with a primary spring and a new belt. What belt do you reccomend for the 02 650, Ive seen 360, 700, and original, now that some time has passed whats the belt verdict? Next is weights, Are the 360 weights the way to go? Im trying to acomplish getting the power back the larger tires took and maybe gain a little on top. Im thinking if the Dyna lost the limiter the clutch can now really be a factor. Any clutch hints??? Thanks, Kevin

I agree with Deerchopper. I like the P700 belt. As for primary springs, I like the stock P700 spring for trail riding purposes. If you don't mind a higher stall spring, you might try the Dalton P/W. If you are looking for a drag race spring, you can't go wrong with the EPI Red. If you are running larger than normal tires, you should add the EPI black secondary spring to reduce belt slippage and extend belt life. I can't tell you much about the weights b/c I have never messed with them...I've heard of some folks having good luck and others not so good luck with the weights, so I'm gonna pass on trying different weights.

Happy trails...

Thanks guys, thats what I will do then, 700 belt, going to get the 700 spring since dealer has it in stock, but also get the plain white and the EPI red to play with. I Put the black secondary on when it was just a baby.

That selection should cover any type of riding you would want to do. I honestly think you will be happy with those springs. I just put the Dalton Orange/Blue in tonight for my rainy ride tomorrow. I havent had the chance to ride that spring yet to give a fair opinion on it.

KOD, is there a distributer for dalton in the states? didnt really want to deal with international shipping if I can avoid it. Does EPI have what would be the equivilent of the plain white from dalton? Still want to hear about your orange/blue experience.
