Default New Prairie 700 idle problems

In the middle of your float bowl at the bottom, The one directly in the middle are the drain screws, Adjust them out about a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn each at a time and she if she straightens out.

Default New Prairie 700 idle problems

My Kawi dealer told me that Kawi only pays half of what the repair would normaly cost without warrenty. Therefore warrenty claims don't make them any money, plus I know they will work on customer bikes first due to the obvious reason.

Right or wrong this is the reality of not buying locally. You may have to take your bike back were you bought it from to get proper service.

I don't mean to be negative or hammer your purchasing rational but this scenario was a factor when I bought my bikes. I could have saved $300 by driving an hour but I now have a dealer who puts my bike first just like in your post.

I hope you find a resolution.

Default 05 prairie 700

Hey. I need some guidance as well plz. I just rebuilt both carbs and the atv will run but I can tell it's too rich and popping some. What's the correct way to properly adjust these carbs

I'm talking from mine and my friends expierences with there new machines. Yeah they may be cold blooded in the winter but it should start and run just fine anytime else. I have a 2004 700 prairie. From day one to start it I give it 1/2 to full choke while applying 1/4 throttle. It fires up immediately and I shut the choke off after approximately 30 seconds. At that time I can let off the gas and it stays running. This procedure worked for my 2002 650 and other prairies my friends have. You shouldn't have to mess with the idle screw every time you start it to keep it running. The air screws on my 700 were set at 1/2 turn out from closed when I bought it. I set them at 2 turns out and I installed a K&N air filter. This combo. worked great with my 700 in helping it idle better. Even w/ the stock filter I set them to 2 turns. If you don't feel comfortable making that adjustment, have your dealer do it. It sounds like he didn't prep. your machine right for you from the start. There could be a number of variables thats causing it not to run right. So let them figure it out and make it right. GOOD LUCK!!!
