BROKE MY PRAIRIE'S SPEED SENSOR,NEED HELP
I ran over a stick on my Prairie and it got caught under my 650 and ripped out the wires going to my speed sensor. I mean really ripped it out. Now you know, no 4 X 4 mode and some more unknown surprises?
Anyway, is this a difficult fix or is it a plug and pay piece? Will I have to remove the belt cover and if so, are there any warnings I should know about there as well. Would you suggest bringing it to the dearler? Thanks for the help guys.

If I remeber right, 1 or 2 bolts & it come right out... it is a proximity switch... it just senses something going past it, so there are no internal wires... there is an O-ring that seals it, as it exposes the crank case when removed ( it's above the oil fill level, so nothing leaks out... & it is a fairly common problem, so it's easy to just get a new one, & quick install & replg, & you are good to go...
I've head of people sticking the wires back in the holes, & using silicone to glue them there, & they've worked for a long time that way...
