Wow! $31.95 for a set of front pads. Thanks for the info PrairiePuppy. Your rear brakes are supposed to go quite a while (6000mi) without needing service, I don't think there is a big market for the 650 rear brake parts yet.
We never talk about the rear brakes. If only everything in life was as good as the rear brakes on the 650. Like this forum, if it were as good as the 650 rear brakes, it wouldn't be down for scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, or unexplained unresponsiveness.

Dangerous
Don't use scotchbrite or similiar material for the clutch inlet if anything use panty hose with K&N dressing this works very well. Or if you have already put in aftermarket air filter use parts of the old filter with K&N filter dressing, I prefer this material. With the scotchbrite it is too stiff and will allow too large a micron of dirt to invade your unit. Not to mention if the scotchbrite falls into the clutch this material can do some terrible damage to your aluminum clutch.

better late than never!! yea, dealers are there for the $. just like auto service writer guys. if you are anywhere near the spec, it bad, you`re gonna die if you don`t fix this problem right away. we can`t let you outta the shop with this thing, because you may kill yourself.... yadda, yadda, yadda.....
the 650 beltdrive is awsome, all these manual clutch monkeys say it won`t be close. like i said before
torque is our friend. you crack the throttle it will jump....
