I always stand all of my quads on end. Both in transport and in storage. They always start right up and I have never experienced any problems because of this. Be sure to run all of the fuel out of the carb, or else it will end up sitting in your cylinder. If it rains on your trip make sure to check the airbox because you may have accuired a little water.

Anyone have leads on the rear axle for the moto4 80 ? My son's axle is out making a very made noice because the jam or lock nuts came loose. I tried tighting them with a spanner wrench but its toasted. I have been watching eBay but the axles are either suspect or go for way over $200, which to me seems like too much $$ for a 1980's quad. If some one knows of a place to get a replacement axle (complete) for a decent price or a person that rebuilds them I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks!
Ken

Were all Champs 100cc? I've got a Yamaha Moto-4, red/black, needs a lot of TLC and a starter motor, not sure on the size though. Sticker on the side says Champ. 7 inch front wheels, 8 inch rear wheels.
Not sure how much money I want to dump in this old quad, especially with the Chinese imports selling so cheap these days and the kids growing so fast, figure I'd get all the use I need out of one of them imports.
